New City Church will provide an opportunity for people to be woven together in every area of life. We believe that discipleship is enhanced when people are able to walk through life together.
New City Church believes that worship must be grounded in God’s Word. Worship at NCC will not be driven by pragmatism or preferences, but by a passion to glorify God in every aspect of worship.
Worship is our earnest, purposeful response to the gospel. Worship is the outworking of each believer’s own recognition that “I am a great sinner, and Christ is a great savior!”
Worship is what life looks like when we are continuously aware that “we are not our own, for we were bought with a price.” When we gather together, we join in worship as a collective celebration of knowing and understanding the gospel of Christ as it is specifically revealed in God’s Word, and as a progressive commitment to enacting the gospel of Christ in every way that it can be applied in and through our daily lives.
New City Church believes that all Scripture is centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Thus, all preaching and teaching will point to the cross.
New City Church will aggressively and deliberately seek to ensure that no one falls through the cracks by facilitating relationships that provide opportunities for all believers at all stages of life and spiritual maturity to be discipled and disciple others. We believe that discipleship must be holistic and reciprocal. It is our conviction that discipleship must begin in the home; therefore, we will equip families to know, teach, and live the gospel.
New City Church will engage all mission fronts by equipping and sending our people into the surrounding communities, across the commonwealth, throughout North America, and to the ends of the earth to proclaim the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. Our church will give sacrificially to support the cooperative program.
New City Church will ground its practices in the Bible, and put its beliefs into practice. We are a convictional and confessional church that affirms the BF&M 2000.
